As the organizers of Watch and change project, we have recently become interested in “Espejitos de colores” Film. We would like to consider translating this film into Polish and making it available for pupils throughout Poland. We would appreciate if you could send us a DVD copy of the film with a time code, so we could make oneself acquainted with it and reach the decision. Would that be possible? Below, there is some information about our organization and the project. Center for Citizenship Education (CCE) is a Polish non-governmental, non-partisan organization set up in 1994 and operating on nationwide scale. We work within the field of education, organizing trainings for teachers and pupils, and publishing textbooks for schools. Among others, we work on global education, reaching 180 schools which participate in Watch and change project. In scope of this project we use documentary films on global issues as a method and material for teaching Polish pupils about global interdependence. Within Watch and change we work with teachers and pupils. We encourage, support and train teachers, who want to include global perspective in their lessons. We supply them with a set of ten documentaries accompanied by lessons scenarios and additional educational materials. We train and support pupils to set up global education school clubs. We provide pupils with the documentary films, witch they can borrow from our mediatheque and organize themselves school screenings along with discussions and debates for their peers. It’s a nationwide project that reaches small communities that have restricted access to such materials.
